Next steps

In roughly the order most people take them, though nobody is checking.

1. Come twice

One Sunday tells you very little. Two tells you most of what you need to know.

2. Starting Point

Starting Point is a dinner for people new to the church — the first Sunday evening of each month, 5:00 PM in the fellowship hall, childcare provided. Pastor David and two or three staff come, you eat, and you ask whatever you want. About twenty people at a time. No commitment follows from attending, and plenty of people come and never join.

3. Join a community group

This is the step that actually changes things. Email Gavin Reyes at groups@thegreetyrchurch.greetyr.com. See community groups.

4. Membership

The membership class runs three times a year — February, June, and October — over two Sunday afternoons, taught by Pastor David himself. It covers what we believe, how we're governed, where the money goes, and what we'd ask of you. Members vote on elders and the budget.

Membership is not required to belong here, to serve, to lead a group, or to be cared for. Some people attend for years without joining and that's a legitimate choice.

5. Baptism

If you've never been baptized and want to be, see Baptism Sunday. Talk to a pastor; there's no class.

6. Serve

Twelve teams, most about ninety minutes a month. See serve.
