About 240 children on a normal Sunday, across two campuses. Directed by Maya Chen.

When it runs

• Berry Hill — both morning Gatherings, and Wednesday at 7:00 PM
• Franklin — the 10:00 AM Gathering
• No kids programming at Vespers, though children are welcome in the room

Check-in

Opens twenty minutes before each Gathering. First-time families go to the desk marked New Here; registration takes about three minutes and prints a matching tag for you and your child. No child is released to anyone without the matching tag. If we need you during the service, your number appears on the screens in the worship room.

The rooms

• Nursery — six weeks to two years. See the nursery page.
• Preschool — two years to pre-K. Story, song, and a lot of moving around.
• Elementary — kindergarten through 5th grade, split into K–2 and 3–5. Large-group teaching then small groups of six with the same leader all year.

Safety

Every volunteer over eighteen completes a background check and our child protection training before their first Sunday, and is re-checked every two years. Two unrelated adults are in every room at all times. Our full child protection policy is available on request from Maya — we'll send it to anyone who asks, member or not.

Children with additional needs

Email Maya before you come and she'll meet you at check-in. We can arrange a one-to-one buddy, a quieter room, noise-cancelling headphones, or a visual schedule. Tell us what works at school and we'll try to match it.

What they're learning

Elementary is working through the Gospel of Mark this year. Preschool follows a story-a-month cycle. Parents get a text on Sunday afternoon with the passage and two questions to ask at dinner.
