Morning Prayer is Wednesday at 6:30 AM in the chapel, coffee from 6:15. Half an hour of silence, read psalms, and spoken prayer, finishing by 7:05 so people can get to work. Usually fifteen to twenty people. This is a prayer meeting, not a worship service — there's no music and no teaching.
Prayer & Anointing runs Saturday from 4:00 to 5:00 PM in the chapel. An elder and one other person are available to pray with anyone who wants it, and to anoint with oil in the pattern of James 5 if you'd like that. Drop in, no appointment, stay two minutes or twenty. Also not a worship service.
After each morning Gathering, two people stand at the front on the left-hand side. Anyone can come and ask for prayer about anything. Nothing said there is repeated.
Send anything to prayer@thegreetyrchurch.greetyr.com. It's read by Tomas Ferreira and a team of six who pray through the list every Monday. Requests are confidential to that team unless you say otherwise, and we don't publish names in the bulletin without explicit permission.
Once a quarter, a Sunday evening replaces Vespers with an hour of prayer for the church, the neighborhood, and whatever's in front of us. Next one is October 12.
Whatever brought you to this page, there's a place for you on Sunday. No pressure, no spotlight, no awkward stand-up-and-introduce-yourself moment.
Tell us you're coming and we'll have someone meet you at the door, walk your kids to check-in, and save you a seat. It takes about a minute.
Sunday is the front door; groups are the living room. Forty-two groups of 8–12 people meet in homes across Nashville and Williamson County every week.
Generosity is how this church funds its neighborhood work. Ten percent of everything given goes straight back out to Berry Hill and beyond.
