Care ministry

One Another

The New Testament uses the phrase "one another" fifty-nine times. This is our attempt to take that literally.

Meals

After a birth, a death, a surgery, or a hard diagnosis, we bring food. Usually three weeks of it, coordinated by a team of forty cooks. You don't have to be a member and you don't have to ask twice.

Hospital and home visits

Tomas Ferreira visits every member admitted to Vanderbilt, Saint Thomas, or Williamson Medical, and a rotation of eight trained volunteers covers home visits for people who can't get out. Hospitals no longer notify churches, so please tell us — we won't know otherwise.

Rides

A standing team drives people to chemotherapy, dialysis, and Sunday Gatherings. Currently about fifteen regular riders. If you can drive once a month, that's genuinely enough.

Benevolence

A confidential benevolence fund helps members and neighbors facing a rent shortfall, a utility cutoff, a car repair that threatens a job, or a funeral cost. Requests go to Tomas and are decided by three people; nobody else is told. We can't help with everything and we'll tell you plainly if we can't.

Grief and recovery

A grief group meets every Tuesday at 6:30 PM in the chapel, open to the whole neighborhood. Celebrate Recovery meets Thursdays at 6:30 PM in the fellowship hall.

Need something, or want to help? Tomas Ferreira, care@thegreetyrchurch.greetyr.com. For anything urgent outside office hours, call the church line at (615) 555-0183 and press 4 — it rings a real phone.

We'd love to meet you

Whatever brought you to this page, there's a place for you on Sunday. No pressure, no spotlight, no awkward stand-up-and-introduce-yourself moment.

Plan your visit

Tell us you're coming and we'll have someone meet you at the door, walk your kids to check-in, and save you a seat. It takes about a minute.

Find a community group

Sunday is the front door; groups are the living room. Forty-two groups of 8–12 people meet in homes across Nashville and Williamson County every week.

Give

Generosity is how this church funds its neighborhood work. Ten percent of everything given goes straight back out to Berry Hill and beyond.
