Serve

Hospitality

The easiest first place to serve, and the one visitors remember.

What it involves

Arrive forty minutes before a Gathering. Start the coffee, put out the mugs, hold a door, and talk to people you don't know. That's the job.

The Welcome Table

Two people staff the table in the lobby each Gathering. You'll answer the same six questions all morning — where's the bathroom, where do my kids go, what time does this end, do I have to sign anything, is there parking, who do I talk to about a group. Knowing those six answers is the entire training.

Coffee

We take it more seriously than is strictly reasonable. Beans come from a roaster three blocks away, it's ground on site, and there is a documented procedure taped inside the cupboard door.

The rota

Once a month, and you pick your Gathering. Miss one and nothing happens; tell us and we'll cover it.

Email welcome@thegreetyrchurch.greetyr.com or find whoever's holding a coffee pot on Sunday.

New here?

We'd love to meet you

Whatever brought you to this page, there's a place for you on Sunday. No pressure, no spotlight, no awkward stand-up-and-introduce-yourself moment.

Plan your visit

Tell us you're coming and we'll have someone meet you at the door, walk your kids to check-in, and save you a seat. It takes about a minute.

Find a community group

Sunday is the front door; groups are the living room. Forty-two groups of 8–12 people meet in homes across Nashville and Williamson County every week.
