Neighborhood Thanksgiving Meal

When: Wednesday, November 26, 5:00 to 7:30 PM. Come any time; the doors don't close.

Where: The fellowship hall, 2145 Franklin Pike.

Cost: Free, and we mean free — there is no basket, no suggested donation, and no talk. Last year we served 410 people.

Who it's for

Anyone in Berry Hill and anyone you bring. Church members are honestly the least important guests at this one; if the hall is full, we'd rather our members eat second. A lot of people who come are alone that week, and that's the whole reason it exists.

Getting here

Parking in the main lot and the school lot. WeGo route 52 stops a four-minute walk away. If you need a ride, call the church at (615) 555-0183 by November 21 and we'll arrange one.

Dietary

There's always a vegetarian main, and gluten-free plates are made up separately in the kitchen — ask any server. Tell us about an allergy at the door and someone will walk your plate through with you.

Helping

We need about sixty volunteers across setup, cooking, serving, sitting-and-eating-with-people, and cleanup — and roughly forty pies. Sign up at the Welcome Table from November 1 or email serve@thegreetyrchurch.greetyr.com. The most valuable shift is the one where you just sit at a table and talk to whoever is there.

No midweek programming

There is no Wednesday service, no Greetyr Students, and no Greetyr Kids that night. The meal is the thing.

New here?

We'd love to meet you

Whatever brought you to this page, there's a place for you on Sunday. No pressure, no spotlight, no awkward stand-up-and-introduce-yourself moment.

Plan your visit

Tell us you're coming and we'll have someone meet you at the door, walk your kids to check-in, and save you a seat. It takes about a minute.

Find a community group

Sunday is the front door; groups are the living room. Forty-two groups of 8–12 people meet in homes across Nashville and Williamson County every week.

Give

Generosity is how this church funds its neighborhood work. Ten percent of everything given goes straight back out to Berry Hill and beyond.
