October 17–19

Marriage Retreat

When: Friday, October 17 at 6:00 PM through Sunday lunch, October 19.

Where: Montgomery Bell State Park Inn, Burns, Tennessee — about fifty minutes west.

Cost: $240 per couple, including two nights and five meals.

Registration closes October 3, or earlier if the forty rooms go. This one does sell out.

Who it's for

Couples at any stage — married forty years, married four months, or engaged with a date set. You do not need to be a member, and you do not need to be in a good patch. Several couples come specifically because they're in a hard one.

What happens

Four teaching sessions from Marcus Okafor and his wife Adaeze, and a great deal of deliberately unstructured time. Saturday afternoon is entirely free — the park has trails, and the point is that you talk to each other rather than to us. No small groups, no sharing circles, and nothing you'll be asked to say out loud in front of other couples.

Childcare

Childcare is provided back at the Berry Hill campus, overnight, both nights, by a paid and background-checked team. It's $40 per family for the weekend regardless of how many children you have. Say yes when you register — spaces are limited to twenty-five children and they go first.

Cost help

Scholarships cover up to the full amount and are handled by Tomas Ferreira, not by the registration desk. Email care@thegreetyrchurch.greetyr.com. You will not be asked for financial details and nobody at the retreat will know.

Register

Email events@thegreetyrchurch.greetyr.com with both names and whether you need childcare. Payment can be made online, by check, or in the office.
