When: Sunday, September 7, from about 10:15 AM through 1:30 PM — it runs between and after both morning Gatherings, so come to either one and stay.
Where: The lawn at the Berry Hill campus, 2145 Franklin Pike. Franklin campus holds its own smaller cookout after the 10:00 AM Gathering.
Cost: Free. No registration — just turn up.
Barbecue from a smoker that Sam Otieno starts at 5:00 AM, two inflatables for the kids, a snow cone truck, and about twenty tables where every ministry and community group has someone standing ready to talk to you. This is the easiest Sunday of the year to join a group; leaders are there in person and you can sign up by talking to a human rather than filling in a form.
Sides and desserts welcome but not expected. There's a table for them by the doors.
Everything moves into the fellowship hall and the gym. It has rained twice in seven years and both times were fine.
We need about thirty people for setup at 8:00 AM, serving, and teardown at 1:30. Email serve@thegreetyrchurch.greetyr.com.
Whatever brought you to this page, there's a place for you on Sunday. No pressure, no spotlight, no awkward stand-up-and-introduce-yourself moment.
Tell us you're coming and we'll have someone meet you at the door, walk your kids to check-in, and save you a seat. It takes about a minute.
Sunday is the front door; groups are the living room. Forty-two groups of 8–12 people meet in homes across Nashville and Williamson County every week.
Generosity is how this church funds its neighborhood work. Ten percent of everything given goes straight back out to Berry Hill and beyond.
