People ask about the name more than you would think, so here is the short version.
For the first two years the church did not really have one. The bulletin said "the Berry Hill gathering" because that is where it met, and nobody minded. When it came time to register properly, the founding families wanted a word that described what they hoped a visitor would run into first — not a doctrine, not a building, but a person glad to see them.
They settled on greeter, spelled the old way, and it stuck. It is a reminder aimed at us rather than at anyone walking in: whatever else we get right on a given weekend, someone should be genuinely happy you came.
The logo came later, from a member who owns a print shop and refused to bill us for it.
Whatever brought you to this page, there's a place for you on Sunday. No pressure, no spotlight, no awkward stand-up-and-introduce-yourself moment.
Tell us you're coming and we'll have someone meet you at the door, walk your kids to check-in, and save you a seat. It takes about a minute.
Sunday is the front door; groups are the living room. Forty-two groups of 8–12 people meet in homes across Nashville and Williamson County every week.
Generosity is how this church funds its neighborhood work. Ten percent of everything given goes straight back out to Berry Hill and beyond.
